The Opportunity

At Aggregate Industries, we’re leading the way in sustainable construction, transforming the industry to build a better, more sustainable future for all. As part of our ambitious plans, we’re looking for a Head of Construction Demolition Waste (CDM) to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence in this critical area of our business. This is your chance to shape the CDM division, delivering a bold vision for sustainability and long-term success. You’ll lead the integration of newly acquired businesses, identify growth opportunities during mergers and acquisitions, and unlock synergies across our operations to maximise the value of Construction Demolition Materials. Innovation will be central as you establish advanced recycling hubs, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and ensure end-to-end reuse of demolition materials. You’ll oversee excellence across the entire process, driving operational efficiency, compliance, and safety while taking full ownership of financial performance to strengthen commercial success. Collaboration will be key as you drive internal synergies across the Aggregates division and the wider organisation, unlocking new opportunities to maximise the use of Construction Demolition Materials (CDM). You’ll develop and deliver initiatives that push the CDM business forward, transforming processes and creating strong foundations for continued growth. With full responsibility for financial performance, you’ll take ownership of profitability, cost optimisation, and identifying opportunities to strengthen commercial success. Who you are

You’re an experienced leader in construction, demolition, or materials recycling, with a track record of delivering both operational success and sustainable growth. You have successfully integrated newly acquired businesses before, aligning teams quickly and efficiently while unlocking new value. You thrive on collaboration, working across commercial and operational teams to drive synergies and create opportunities others might miss. Your experience has given you a deep understanding of recycling processes and technologies, and you’re the kind of person who gets excited about pushing the boundaries of innovation. Financial responsibility comes naturally to you – managing P&L, identifying cost efficiencies, and finding ways to maximise profitability without compromising on quality or sustainability. You take pride in leading high-performing teams, fostering an environment where people feel inspired, supported, and ready to perform at their best. Benefits Competitive Salary, plus bonus, 25 days holiday + your local bank holidays (with options to increase) and other benefits - all recognising the contribution you bring. Be valued and supported, working as part of a highly respected team in a business that has a huge focus on Health & Safety. We care about you and your family. That’s why we offer enhanced family benefits, including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave. We understand that your personal life and family well-being are just as important as your career, so we’re committed to supporting you every step of the way. Be part of something bigger with our "Women Empowered - Stronger Together Mentor Program," designed to support, inspire, and uplift women across the business. Free 24/7 remote GP service for you and your household, offering medical advice, prescriptions, referrals, and same-day appointments. Opportunities for career progression both at home and abroad (via our parent company Holcim). Join our affinity groups selected by and populated by our employees which bring together employees with similar backgrounds and interests to have powerful influence on the workplace. Staff discounts including special rates for garden landscaping products. We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
