Role: Head of Data / Head of Data & Analytics Tech Involved: SQL, PowerBI, GA4, Snowflake Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Location: Huddersfield Work Pattern: Full-Time, Hybrid / Remote Summary This is an incredible opportunity to join a business with a big investment and plans for their data team. We are looking for someone to lead their Data and Business Intelligence strategies, ensuring this is implemented across all departments. This is a permanent position being offered on a hybrid / remote basis. The Company You would be joining a highly-regarded business with over 20 years' experience in their field. Their mission is to provide their impressive client-base with the tools to run their businesses smoothly and cost-effectively. This is a constantly evolving company that has seen great success from their collaborative, innovative and smart-working mindset. The Role We are looking for an experienced leader to become the point of contact for all data considerations. This is a role where you will contribute your hands-on data analytics, reporting and ETL process expertise, along with your knowledge of developing strategies, mentoring, and data governance. You will be a positive force within the company to promote teamwork, communication, and to look wider within the business for more ways to innovate and elevate their data. There is an ongoing discussion on improving their technology stack - this will allow the business to begin to explore AI and Machine Learning, which is a significant opportunity for them and not one they have started to realize currently. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the reporting suite, ensuring accurate and insightful reports Directly line manage the current data team (2 x Engineers, 2 x Analysts) Lead on the implementation of a data strategy that aligns with company goals Drive data harmonization / standardization across the business Sit in weekly leadership meetings to ensure the data strategy feeds into the business strategy Identify opportunities to implement the automation of reporting tasks Manage a team to oversee ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data quality control measures Implement, maintain, and analyze customer behavioral data across web and app sources Ensure effective supplier and cost management What are we looking for? We are looking for someone who has managed a small data team, with enough breadth of data knowledge to plug into everything from Data Engineering to Digital Analytics. The ideal technical background would be someone who came from an Analytics, Dashboard, or Digital Analytics background.
