Circa £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are working with a leading social housing organisation to recruit a Head of Decarbonisation. This pivotal role will oversee the successful delivery of decarbonisation projects across their housing portfolio, ensuring sustainable and innovative solutions for transitioning to net-zero carbon assets. Key Responsibilities: Take full accountability for the performance of decarbonisation projects, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s sustainability goals and delivery of profitable growth. Work closely with Regional Operations Directors to implement systems and processes that enable successful decarbonisation and energy services initiatives across all regions. Collaborate with Bid and Commercial teams to support tender processes and secure funding for decarbonisation projects. Build and lead high-performing teams to deliver complex decarbonisation projects, managing recruitment, induction, and performance reviews in line with organisational values. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including tenants and external partners, ensuring satisfaction and a smooth transition to sustainable living. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks, while proactively managing risks. Regularly report on the financial and operational performance of decarbonisation projects, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across teams to drive impactful results. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Graduate or professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., sustainability, engineering, or construction). Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., Pitman Excel Certification). CSCS Manager/Professionally Qualified Person Card. Experience in leading decarbonisation or energy-efficiency projects within the social housing or public sector. Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage large-scale projects effectively. A proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
