London We are working on behalf of a prestigious client in the retail and wholesale sector, seeking a talented Head of Delivery - Development to oversee and drive the successful delivery of development projects and change requests. This is a leadership role, pivotal in aligning project delivery with strategic road maps and ensuring the effective execution of technology-driven initiatives that meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities

Partner with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to align project delivery with strategic road maps. Manage the full delivery life cycle of development projects, from initiation to closure. Oversee project portfolios, optimising resource allocation to meet organisational priorities. Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices, fostering agility and efficiency. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technology teams for seamless integration. Monitor project performance, addressing risks and implementing corrective actions. Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective communication and alignment. Promote and champion delivery methodologies and best practices across the organisation. Foster a culture of professional development and excellence within the delivery function. Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex development projects, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills. Key Requirements:

Extensive experience delivering large-scale development projects in dynamic environments. Deep understanding of software development life cycles and delivery processes. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management tools and resource planning techniques. Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions. A passion for continuous improvement and delivering customer-centric solutions.
