Role: Head of Delivery Location: Leeds/hybrid Salary: DOE plus extensive benefits Contract type: Permanent Employment type: Full time Working hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday The Head of Delivery – M&A and Corporate Functions will lead strategic and operational initiatives across the organisation to align with business objectives. This key role ensures efficient, scalable growth and successful project execution in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. Developing and leading the project's delivery strategy aligned with business goals Identifying and mitigating risks while leveraging opportunities for project impact Developing detailed roadmaps for platform enhancements, operational improvements, new product launches, and regulatory compliance Optimising resource allocation for efficient and effective results, leveraging internal and external expertise Acting as a liaison, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite, providing concise updates on progress, risks, and opportunities, and translating complex information Building, inspiring, and mentoring a high-performing project management team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Setting clear objectives and expectations, providing regular feedback and development opportunities, and defining and monitoring KPIs Implementing tools and systems to enhance visibility into project timelines, resource utilisation, and budgets Conducting post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve delivery practices Leveraging emerging trends and innovative practices to enhance delivery and drive digital transformation adaptability and responsiveness Championing continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to refine delivery processes, improve efficiency, and adopt best practices Promoting agile methodologies and modern approaches to enhance adaptability and responsiveness Who are we looking for? Direct line management of technical resources and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical colleagues across the business Understanding of core IT policies, standards and processes and their importance in delivering a good service to the business Stakeholder management across the organisation and within a global function Demonstrable understanding of budgets and business-planning Working knowledge of GDPR and an appreciation for data governance standards, controls and requirements and how they are factored into design activity Extensive experience in project, programme, or portfolio management, ideally within a technology-driven, healthcare, or e-commerce environment Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional programmes with measurable business impact Familiarity with governance structures, tools, and frameworks to support delivery at scale Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services) Comprehensive understanding of project and programme management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Trello, or other project tracking software What happens next?
