This is a newly created development role, responsible for delivering a comprehensive and effective strategy across all aspects of the fundraising activity.

Head of Development Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

Championing and delivering the strategy, increasing major gifts from individuals, corporates, and trusts and foundations. Cultivating and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with donors, prospects, and key stakeholders. Managing a personal portfolio of major gift prospects, researching and preparing bespoke proposals. Monitoring and reporting on fundraising performance, providing regular updates to the Director of Development. Attending regular networking events and onsite visits to meet with prospects and donors.

Head of Development Essentials

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser of major gifts donations. You will have excellent networking, relationship building, and presenting skills. Ability to think both strategically and tactically. A fantastic team player and able to work closely with internal and external stakeholders. Flexible and proactive in your approach to work. Strong IT and database skills. You must be prepared to work out of hours and undertake travel as required.

Location

This is a full-time hybrid-working role in Oxford, with onsite parking available and excellent transport links. A relocation allowance will be considered.
