Evaluate and recommend e-commerce platforms for product sales, including the Sherwin Williams CBG EMEAI website, brand-specific sites, Amazon, and other relevant marketplaces. Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with our business goals and maximizes reach and profitability for brands like Valspar, Ronseal, V&CO, Purdy, and Geocel. Create business cases for different e-commerce strategies to justify investment and resource allocation.
E-Commerce Experience Management:
Oversee the implementation of the customer journey from site entry to purchase, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience following the successful buy-in to the strategy. Collaborate with UX designers to build an intuitive, mobile-optimized website that aligns with industry best practices.
Conversion Rate Optimization:
Analyze website performance and customer behavior post-implementation to identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to reduce basket abandonment and streamline the checkout process, utilizing A/B testing and data analytics.
Analytics and Reporting:
Provide data-driven insights and strategies based on performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) as the program progresses. Oversee reporting on overall e-commerce performance and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
Content Optimization and Merchandising:
Work closely with the internal e-business team to supply and optimize content across our own sites and any other platforms we partner with, leveraging the established strategy. Collaborate with the Brand and Digital Marketing team to drive marketing content that enhances sales conversion and creates assets for activities such as Google Shopping and TikTok Shop.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
Foster collaboration across marketing, sales, and product development teams to align e-commerce initiatives with overall business objectives, building on the momentum gained from the initial strategy. Engage with stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment on e-commerce strategies and enhancements to the customer experience.
Agency Management and Team Building:
Initially deliver e-commerce initiatives through specialist partner agencies, managing these relationships to achieve our business goals. Develop a plan for building an internal e-commerce team, aligning roles and responsibilities with our long-term vision for growth.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in e-commerce management or strategy, preferably in the retail or consumer goods sector. Demonstrated success in building and executing effective e-commerce strategies from the ground up. Strong expertise in data analysis, SEO, SEM, digital marketing, and traffic-driving practices. Proven experience in evaluating and implementing various e-commerce platforms and marketplaces. Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills. A passion for the paint and coatings industry, especially for brands like Valspar, Ronseal, V&CO, Purdy, and Geocel, is a plus. Our offer to you....
