Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Head of Economics to lead and develop our Economics Department from September 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of the subject, inspire a new generation of economists, and contribute to the overall academic success of the school. As Head of Economics, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management:

Lead, inspire, and support the Economics department to achieve the highest standards of academic performance. Curriculum Development:

Oversee the delivery of Economics at all levels, ensuring the curriculum is engaging, challenging, and tailored to meet the needs of our students. Teaching & Learning:

Teach Economics at both GCSE and A-Level, delivering outstanding lessons that encourage critical thinking and a deep understanding of economic principles. Assessment & Progress:

Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Strategic Development:

Contribute to the development of the wider school strategy, bringing fresh ideas for departmental growth and innovation. Extracurricular Engagement:

Develop and support extracurricular opportunities related to Economics, such as student societies, trips, and guest speakers. Ideal Candidate: A qualified and experienced Economics teacher with a passion for the subject and a track record of success at GCSE and A-Level. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of educators. Strong knowledge of the Economics curriculum and current educational trends. A strategic thinker who is able to contribute to departmental development and school-wide initiatives. An excellent communicator who is able to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
