The Purpose of the Role Following an expansion of its A Level provision, Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking a talented and ambitious Head of Economics to lead a newly formed department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to set the strategic direction of the department, designing and implementing a new curriculum in line with their chosen exam board syllabus. They will also enjoy considerable support from the school's leadership team and the well-established Business department. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Economics Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning that result in excellent student outcomes. Implement and develop a comprehensive and engaging Economics curriculum. Teach Economics to A Level. Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as economics clubs, competitions, and trips. Stay updated with the latest developments in economics education and integrate them into the curriculum. Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and development as an academic leader. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success. Further Responsibilities: To act as a form tutor. To contribute to the co-curricular life of the school. To undertake such other duties as the Head may reasonably request. Skills and Qualifications: Relevant degree required. QTS highly desired. Our Benefits: Competitive salary. School Fee remission.
