Overseeing three small independent schools (Maximum of 8 pupils per school) based in Stoke On Trent (Meir and Cheadle). Travelling will be required and applicants must have access to own vehicle. Salary:

Starting at £47,590 per annum. We are looking for an experienced Head of Education to be an inspirational leader that can contribute to and embody the ethos and vision of our schools. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of two of the Halliwell Schools, supported by the Executive Headteacher. About the Head of Education role: The Head of Education will ensure that their leadership demonstrates a commitment to promoting and developing the existing good practice in each of the Halliwell Schools through the search for excellence in all areas. The Head of Education will work with the Executive Headteacher to articulate and promote an educational mission and set of values for the Halliwell Education Schools. The Head of Education will take account of the school’s uniqueness, vision and of the special educational needs, values and experiences of the schools and the pupils it serves. The Head of Education will demonstrate the principles and practice of effective teaching and learning, ensuring a consistent and continuous focus on pupils’ progress and achievement. The Head of Education will treat all people fairly, equitably and with dignity and respect to create and maintain a positive culture in line with each school’s agreed vision and values. Manage conflict effectively, seeking positive outcomes wherever possible. The Head of Education will work with the Executive Headteacher to build a collaborative learning culture within the school communities and actively engage with other schools to build effective learning communities. The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications: To be a qualified teacher and an experienced Senior Leader To have attended all recent relevant courses at Senior Leadership level To have recent experience of teaching children in the Primary age range with Special Educational Needs The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills: Successful leadership of a school in an OFSTED Inspection at middle leadership or Assistant or Deputy level. Promoting the social, cultural, spiritual and moral development of all students Demonstrating clear current knowledge in the National Curriculum at KS1/2/3 Evidence of additional responsibilities in a school setting. Evidence of personal impact on children’s outcomes. Leading a team in the production of a Self-Evaluation Form and School Development Plan Planning, developing and monitoring appropriate learning activities Understanding that the role of the school is to provide effective education for all students Supporting pupils throughout significant transitions Being aware of the need to maximise the potential of ICT as an aid to learning Assessing, recording and reporting on students’ learning Special Requirements of the role: Must have valid Right To Work in the UK Must hold a full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle Must hold Qualified Teachers' Status Must hold Post Graduate Certificate in Education or Bachelors Degree (at least 2:2) Extensive experience working with Ofsted What we can offer: Join our well established and core education teams becoming part of the Employee Ownership Trust with Halliwell Homes.
