RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of EHSQ Services UK & Ireland your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Managing Directors in meeting their governance and operational compliance obligations. This role involves active participation in the UK & Ireland Leadership Team and contributing to the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) policies and arrangements that align with country-specific strategic priorities and legal requirements. Lead the EHSQ Services team, to deliver a cost-effective Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) service that addresses business needs. This role will involve supporting the team in achieving legal compliance and meeting BASF requirements across all UK and Ireland activities. Coordinate the manufacturing community within the UK and Ireland, providing administrative leadership to Supply Chain Operations and Procurement. Maintain professional competence in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) by developing and sustaining external networks to promote BASF interests and share insights on strategic priorities. QUALIFICATIONS Education - a degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a professional qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). Professional experience - extensive knowledge of UK Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) legislation and regulatory frameworks. The ideal applicant will have proven leadership experience in an EHS role within the chemical manufacturing sector. Additionally, extensive experience of maintaining an EHSQ Management System and demonstrating compliance against it. Skills - We are seeking candidates who demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, possess strong emotional intelligence, and exhibit exceptional organisational skills. The ideal applicant should have a talent for facilitating collaboration, a keen awareness of cost management, and a proven track record of influencing decision-makers at senior levels.
