As an expert in Python/Django, you will work directly with the CTO to define the future of what they envision will scale up within the safety net of an established asset manager growing through aggressive acquisition.
Given the freedom to design a plan to accommodate for rapid user adoption and scaling, you will mentor and lead a team of 25 to operate as an agile function that has innovation at the forefront of conscience.

What You Will Do You will be tasked with taking the reins from the current CTO who has been building the team and overseeing the development of this bespoke offering for the last 2 years. This will involve taking technical leadership, encompassing technology selection, system design, architectural decisions, and planning the execution of technical implementations, refactoring, and sprint planning. You will be the primary point of contact for the engineering team, managing performance and sharing general people management responsibilities with senior individuals in the team and the CTO. Stakeholder management will be a critical element of this role; you will work with senior stakeholders, non-technical users, and hear direct user feedback to ensure the product is moving in the right direction and delivering value across the various users that interact.
