As part of our ongoing growth, we are launching a new alternative learning environment to support young people currently unable to access educational settings; initially offering our 26 Independent schools a hybrid curriculum to support our young people. This will include a varied approach of teaching including online learning, in-person tuition, support to access education again, outdoor learning via our activity centres, and personal development. In addition to our schools, we have a large number of Children’s Residential Homes. A key part of the provision will be to work collaboratively with the residential team to ensure all young people at Keys are accessing education. We foresee the role mainly working from home with travel to our schools across the country. Responsibilities of appointment:

Launch the alternative education model for Keys taking a strategic lead for English. Assist the Headteacher with recruiting Tutors. Design innovative ways to offer a bespoke curriculum based on individual needs incorporating online learning and face-to-face teaching where appropriate. Work collaboratively with a wide range of Local Authorities across the country developing a high-quality provision with the future prospect of offering this to young people outside of our organisation. Lead the development of the English SEND curriculum to embed across the group where necessary. Acting as a Lead Practitioner for the group offering support and guidance to English Teachers across our schools. Working with our Headteachers to improve the Quality of Education across all of our schools. Supporting students accessing alternative education including the design of a bespoke timetable. Working with our specialist safeguarding advisors to ensure comprehensive safeguarding and personal development plans are in place. We would love to hear from people who:

Are expert in English curriculum across Primary and Secondary Have extensive experience supporting students with SEND Are qualified teachers holding QTS or QTLS Would like the opportunity to develop a new provision focused on supporting young people experiencing difficulty and disengaged from education Have extensive knowledge of safeguarding and the appropriate channels of support within local authorities Experience within senior leadership teams would be advantageous EPIC benefits of working for Keys Group:

NEST enhanced pension scheme Refer a friend scheme Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Access to a blue light discount card Fully funded training and qualifications for all colleagues Enhanced pay scales based on experience and qualifications Employee benefits scheme such as wellbeing app and a range of discounts Life assurance Keys Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of everyone in our care. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, suitable employment references, and online searches to safeguard our young people. In addition, this post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974.
