Shape the Future of Sustainable Energy with the CWA! I am thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) as the Head of Environment Management for the Sizewell C project. As part of this pivotal role, you will lead our environment and sustainability teams, providing leadership, coordination, support, and advice on all aspects of sustainability and environmental management. Your expertise will ensure that CWA meets all legal and company standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring our contractual and regulatory requirements are met. Sizewell C is a monumental project, a 3.2-gigawatt power station set to generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, playing a crucial role in our energy future. This position, based in Suffolk with visits to London, offers the chance to contribute significantly to a project that aims to deliver reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Environment & Sustainability (E&S) strategy for the CWA. Provide E&S leadership and guidance to all levels within Sizewell C and the project organization. Manage, support, and develop Environmental and Sustainability Managers and Advisors. Ensure the delivery of environmental and sustainability commitments for SZC. Manage sustainability and environmental risks and mitigate them. Produce environmental and sustainability reports for both external customers and internal projects. Utilize findings from data and audits to drive sustainability action plans and inform key business decisions. Build and develop relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Promote EDF, SZC, and CWA values across the SZC scheme. Ensure project compliance with all regulations and company policies. Support project teams to meet contractual, compliance, and business management system requirements. Communicate lessons learned effectively and implement improvements from incidents and audits. Engage with key stakeholders regularly and promote active participation. Support incident/accident investigations related to environmental and sustainability matters. Assist in the identification of E&S training needs and support upskilling within operational teams. Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience in a leadership role within the environment and sustainability sector, preferably in the civils/utilities industry. Strong background in managing environmental and sustainability projects. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Experience in implementing ISO standards related to environmental management. Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field is preferred.
