Do you have significant experience in designing, managing and developing events? Can you inspire and lead a team? Do you understand fundraising in a large institutional environment? Are you highly organised, methodical and calm with the ability to successfully project manage to evaluation stage? We are looking for a highly experienced Head of Events to curate, manage and deliver a strategic programme of Development Events for our supporters at all levels across Stratford-upon-Avon, London, the UK and around the world. The Development Events team run a robust series of events and engagements across the year to underpin the delivery of the wider Development strategy at the RSC, which aims to bring all prospects, partners and supporters right to the heart of the RSC's work, ensuring it is continually celebrated and regarded for its excellence, impact and relevance. Reporting to the Director of Development, key areas of responsibility include: Devising a strategic programme of events in line with the Development strategy across all RSC work, on-stage and off. Leading and guiding the events team through from ideation, to delivery, to evaluation of high-quality events. Managing, coaching and developing the events team. Working across RSC teams, departments, Board and senior stakeholders. Budget setting and management. Developing effective, streamlined and consistent processes for tracking and managing events. Driving best practice across all areas of event design, communications and execution. To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience: Highly developed event design, delivery and management experience. An understanding of fundraising within a large institutional context. Project management and/or producing experience. Highly organised and methodical approach with attention to detail. An entrepreneurial and solutions-minded approach to work. An interest in the work of the RSC. Demonstrable experience leading a team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in either our Stratford-upon-Avon or London office with a preference towards Stratford office, and regular travel between locations, for which expenses will be paid. There may be occasional national and international travel required. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although regular work will be required outside of normal working hours and on weekends when running events.
