Head of External Communications

to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The Head of External Communications will lead and execute strategic communication efforts to shape and enhance the reputation of the company. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the company’s external communication strategy, managing public relations, media outreach and corporate messaging to ensure alignment with organizational goals, key business objectives and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with leadership, commercial, medical and other internal teams, as well as external stakeholders, to effectively manage and disseminate the company’s narrative. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Develop and Execute Communication Strategy Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive external communication strategy aligned with company objectives and brand positioning. Provide strategic guidance to senior management on communication-related matters. Establish messaging frameworks and communication plans for corporate milestones, product launches, and other key initiatives. Media Relations & Public Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists and industry influencers. Act as the company spokesperson, managing media inquiries and interviews. Develop and pitch compelling stories to enhance brand visibility and shape public perception. Crisis Communication & Issue Management Lead the preparation for potential crises by creating and managing crisis communication plans. Respond swiftly and effectively to any external communications during times of crisis or regulatory scrutiny. Brand Reputation Management Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to track and manage the company’s reputation in the marketplace. Work closely with the digital and social external media teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all external channels. Stakeholder Engagement In collaboration with the medical and commercial teams, manage relationships with external stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patient groups, advocacy organizations, and regulatory bodies. Oversee the development and delivery of thought leadership materials, including press releases, op-eds and white papers. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence Ensure all external communications adhere to relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards. Work with legal and regulatory teams to ensure accurate, compliant messaging in all external communications. Cross-Functional Work Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Medical, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure alignment of communication strategies. Performance Measurement & Reporting Track and measure the effectiveness of external communication campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on communication outcomes and media coverage. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience:

Solid experience in external communications, public relations, or related fields, with most of the time in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Expertise:

Proven experience in media relations, crisis communication, and brand reputation management within highly regulated industries. SKILLS Fluent in English is a must, other languages are a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives. Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, and healthcare ecosystem. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
