We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and dynamic Head of Faculty to lead Creative and Performing Arts, encompassing Art, Dance, Drama and Music. Performing and Creative Arts are a popular and thriving part of life at Hurst, and pupils are offered a vast range of opportunities to be creative across the Faculty, both within and outside of the classroom environment. The college boasts enviable facilities, including well equipped Art and Photography studios, a 350-seat professional theatre, a new dance studio and a Music School with 14 individual practice rooms, a Music Technology Suite and recording studio, plus a well equipped recital hall. The successful candidate will have: the ability to lead, manage, engage and provide clear direction to staff and pupils to deliver the very best academic results. the ability to design and continuously improve curricula and Schemes of Work across multiple Key Stages based on exam board specifications, as well as produce effective resources that can be shared across the department. a bachelor’s Degree in a subject within the Creative and Performing Arts faculty with a PGCE, QTS (desirable not essential) and strong evidence of continuous professional development. The Head of Faculty will assist the Deputy Head Academic in realizing the key academic aims of the College across all areas of the faculty. In addition, they will also work closely with the Co-Curricular team to ensure that the faculty's Co-curricular provision is properly aligned with the academic structures.
