This global interior product manufacturer with a UK office is seeking a Head of Sales to manage a team of field-based sales executives.

Our client is seeking a strong and natural leader with experience providing strategy and vision to grow market share and increase profitability within the interiors sector.

Reporting to a Country Manager, you will work in collaboration with a Head of Specification Sales and be supported by a customer service department and marketing team.

Covering the UK and being home and field-based with visits to the company's northern head office, your team will promote a range of on-trend, innovative, stylish, versatile and durable products to the fabricator and contractor market covering residential and commercial applications.

This role will focus on the field sales strategy to regain market share whilst producing a solid margin. The successful candidate will be able to translate the strategy and vision and lead that team by example.

Responsibilities include: Pushing a recently introduced product category. Training and leading by example to team members to embed best practice. Identify growth potential and bring new ideas on how to approach sales activities e.g. develop new product categories and open up new markets and/or sales segments. Daily monitor and steer on activities of the team on both input e.g. visits, reporting and opportunities as well as output e.g. order entry, sales, share of wallet growth, share of market growth.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of managing a team and working for a manufacturer within the interior products sector such as kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, paint, flooring, wallcoverings, furniture, laminates, bonded panels, worktops or associated.

You will also have a strong appetite for problem-solving and fact-based analysis to support decisions and strong negotiation skills.

On offer is a salary of up to £70,000 plus bonus, car allowance, pension, private healthcare and 25 days plus bank holidays.
