Here at Octopus Energy ECO, we’re responsible for delivering the government mandated eco obligation scheme on behalf of Octopus Energy! We are super passionate about helping customers on low income and benefits to improve the insulation in their homes, to help reduce their bills and carbon emissions. This role involves driving growth while ensuring alignment with the strategic vision outlined by the Director of Octopus Energy ECO. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of all aspects of the ECO Installation Field teams, achieving their objectives in collaboration with the broader Octopus Energy team. The successful candidate will begin by focusing on all things Cavity, Loft, and Internal Wall Insulation under the ECO and GBIS schemes, as well as insulation services paid for by our customers. As the teams and role evolve, the Head of Field Support Services will prioritise aligning all areas of the business to deliver the best customer service in the industry. You will learn all about low carbon tech and influence future training at our wonderful Nottingham Knowledge Centre with a real focus on a “fabric first” approach. What You'll Do

Work as part of the senior management team to develop the in-house Installation area to meet the vision & strategy as provided by the Director of Octopus Energy ECO. Be responsible for the quality and performance of direct reports, as well as ensuring all Field Managers have the tools at their fingertips to provide a world-class service through our Installer team. Leading from the front and displaying a true Octopus ethos and personality. Assist with the orchestration of both insulation and at times accompanying renewable technologies. Learn about new technologies and get training that will give you the skills to assist your teams of Insulation Installers from day one. Use your knowledge and experience of being organised, innovative and having a thirst for knowledge as well as history of delivering targets and working as part of a team. Plan and communicate with your team and customers. Consistently problem solve - nothing is insurmountable - you’ll anticipate problems and find solutions quickly and efficiently. Be responsible for warehouse staff and activities which include our training centre and hub in Nottingham. What You'll Need

Experience in people management and superb organisational skills. Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of how to deliver a great service and meet strategic KPI’s. Experience of working at an Insulation Installer and providing field teams with all the tools required to carry out their role. Strong knowledge of Insulation materials and a ground knowledge of the ECO schemes. Good monetary control experience essential. A laser customer focus - communication is key. A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude - we’ll do everything to make the customer experience perfect. A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. Show flexibility as occasional travel will be needed.
