Prepare and oversee annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, with hands-on involvement. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and reserves. Compliance and Accounting
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Oversee VAT returns, PAYE, NIC, statutory records, and Companies House filings. Manage audits, liaise with auditors, and review financial statements. Collaborate with tax advisors as needed. Governance and Policy
Work with the Board and finance committee to ensure governance adherence. Develop and implement financial policies and controls. Team Leadership
Lead the finance team, including purchase ledger, credit control, and management accounts teams. Conduct appraisals and support team development. Qualifications and Experience Essential Proven financial leadership experience, ideally in a not-for-profit or membership organisation. Strong financial management, accounting, and regulatory knowledge. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Proficiency with financial software and reporting systems. Desired ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification. Skills and Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced knowledge of financial reporting systems.
