Full-time, 40 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 (Flexi Time available) Join a leading company recognised for high-quality timber windows and doors, proudly crafted in our UK factory. We are seeking a Head of Finance to oversee our financial operations, ensuring effective management and compliance, and playing a crucial role in supporting and developing our finance team. Day-to-day of the role: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management reports, statutory accounts, and board reports. Work closely with the Managing Director and Production Manager to enhance financial efficiency in procurement, manufacturing, and distribution processes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and industry statutory requirements. Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure professional growth and high performance. Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiencies. Develop and monitor robust internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Team player with experience in a small team environment, comfortable being hands-on and developing team members of varied experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Comfortable operating in dynamic or fast-growing environments that require flexibility. Ability to build relationships at all levels within a business. Proven track record in operational finance. Strong systems and IT skills. Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting. Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA) is essential. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes is an advantage.
