Your new company A well established, privately owned and growing organisation is recruiting a commercially focused Head of Finance to join their team. You will predominantly be working in their head office with some travel to other sites as needed. Ideally, the role will be office based, but there is some flexibility for hybrid working as needed. Your new role Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting, overseeing a direct finance team of 3. You will be a key individual within the leadership team, with an ability to influence the wider business. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for generating: Monthly management accounts Financial & profitability analysis Stock control & analysis Cash-flow reporting Preparation of statutory accounts The role requires strong commercial acumen, the appetite to improve systems/processes, and the flexibility to pitch in with ad hoc tasks as and when needed. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc). Previous experience of a hands-on #1 in finance role and comfortable being hands-on in producing the management accounts pack. Commercially driven with excellent communication skills. IT literate, particularly with Excel and Sage 50 experience would be an advantage. The ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload, and meet deadlines as required.
