Aqualla Adamsez are seeking a Head of Finance & IT who will play a key role in the management and support of their growth strategy while managing the financial aspects of the business. Growth is mainly being driven by the expansion of their GB sales team through their 9 Regional Sales Managers plus a GB Head of Sales and a Sales team of 4 on the Island of Ireland. Their ongoing product development, new customers, and new ways of working provide an excellent foundation to grow their market share. Aqualla are a business that are scaling operations whilst retaining what makes them unique – their values and company culture. As the Head of Finance and IT, you will be responsible for maintaining a financial and administrative function with a commercial outlook, continually monitoring, and reviewing costs and sales performance to support the profitability of the group. The role will require the post holder to add value by proactively advising the management team on departmental cost analysis, savings initiatives, increasing profits, and ensuring future growth, based on financial efficiency. You will not just be looking down and into the accounts, but up and out at the wider marketplace to understand trends and support the Management Team with overall decision-making and future business strategy. You will be instrumental in helping to deliver their ongoing impressive growth by providing business-critical financial insights from their enhanced IT systems. You will lead a team of 5 in the accounting function, and will liaise with peers across Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands. There are significant opportunities to bring a commercial, proactive, strategic approach to the finance function. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial information to the business and wider group functions, and to make actionable recommendations to support strategic decision making. Proactive involvement in the management team – making proposals concerning financial business performance based on financial data and highlight where improvements can be made. Provide monthly financial reports and insights to the local management team, and the wider Group. Produce and analyse year-end financial accounts ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and group audit requirements. Continual monitoring and updating of financial systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory bodies and legislation. Cash flow and liquidity management, including overall responsibility for accounts receivable and payable. Currency hedging, and working with supply chain to identify best opportunities. Financial risk management and compliance. Identifying and analysing opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. Producing annual budgets and overseeing allocations across departments. Monitoring and reporting adherence to budget constraints. Lead and develop the finance team, improving financial management awareness. Adhoc financial analysis and problem solving in support of management team across wider business and future project work. This is a hands-on role, and we are looking for someone who will be a strong cultural fit within Aqualla – key attributes are empathy, clear communicator, passionate, driven, entrepreneurial, with excellent leadership skills. Familiarity with logistics, warehousing and distribution operations will be an advantage. Experience with working with an ERP system is desirable.
