Most of these workers are managed manually and offline, leaving them without a digital record of their earnings and skills. This lack of documentation makes workers vulnerable, limiting their access to finance and social benefits. Conversely, many businesses struggle with the tools needed to effectively manage, pay, and empower these workers on a large scale.

Fixa has developed a proprietary HR-fintech platform designed to help businesses efficiently manage and empower their frontline workforce. We support labor-intensive industries such as construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and mining.
Your Mission Fixa's mission is to become the leading benefits platform for Africa's frontline employees. To achieve this, Fixa needs to scale its HR platform across employers, industries, and markets. Fixa's strategy to empower millions of workers across the continent hinges on our platform becoming the de facto HR solution for blue-collar employers.
Responsibilities
Financial Operations and Reporting: Oversee and ensure compliance for accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. Loan Portfolio Management: Manage the company’s loan book, including portfolio monitoring, loan servicing, and compliance with lending policies. Oversee credit risk assessments, interest calculations, and regulatory compliance for lending activities. Develop strategies for maintaining the health and growth of the loan portfolio. P&L Oversight and Analysis: Drive P&L management by overseeing forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to achieve targets. Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making and long-term strategy development. Risk Management (Internal Controls) & Process Optimization: Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial accuracy and security. Lead initiatives to digitize and streamline financial operations, improving efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements 6.5 years of experience
in accounting, bookkeeping, and finance roles, with demonstrated expertise in financial operations and reporting. Ability to oversee a loan book
and manage loan portfolios, including portfolio monitoring, servicing, and compliance with lending policies. Experience in the fintech sector
with a solid understanding of the unique financial structures, compliance needs, and market trends. Proven experience with lending products , including loan management, interest calculation, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance for lending activities. Strong understanding of profit and loss (P&L) management , forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) , with the ability to create financial models, conduct variance analysis, and provide strategic financial insights. Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
(IFRS, GAAP), including tax and audit compliance. Familiarity with financial technologies and tools
like QuickBooks or similar fintech-specific software. Strong risk management and internal control skills , ensuring accuracy and security in financial reporting. A proactive approach to process optimization , with the capacity to lead digital transformations and streamline financial operations.
