The Head of Finance role is based at a fast growing international investment house that is looking to grow their finance function. This role will report into the C-suite and be a real mix of commercial and controls finance. This all-round role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of financial management, investment oversight, and strategic planning. Based in central London, offering great career progression and skill development, it's a great opportunity for an aspiring CFO to get ownership of a finance function and make that progression to the executive level. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Planning Develop and implement the overall financial strategy. Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Provide strategic advice on financial planning, tax strategies, and wealth preservation. Financial Reporting and Compliance Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, accounting standards, and legal requirements. Coordinate audits and liaise with external advisors, including tax consultants and legal professionals. Investment Oversight Manage and monitor a diversified portfolio of investments, including real estate, private equity, and financial markets. Evaluate potential investment opportunities and provide detailed analysis and recommendations. Work closely with investment managers and advisors to optimize returns. Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management, payroll, and vendor payments. Manage banking relationships and optimize financial structures for efficiency. Maintain accurate records of personal and corporate financial transactions. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a family office, private wealth management, or similar environment. Strong understanding of UK tax regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements. Experience managing complex financial structures and multi-asset portfolios.
