This lovely organisation is seeking a Head of Finance to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team, this Head of Finance will be pivotal in ensuring financial stability, the provision of high-quality financial information and achievement of organisational gaols. The key duties of this Head of Finance are as follows: Collaborate with leaders, Trustees, and stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives. Provide strategic financial insights to drive growth and operational efficiency. Develop and oversee budgets, ensuring assumptions are robust and accurate. Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate management information and analysis. Oversee statutory accounts, audits, VAT returns, and compliance reporting. Drive system improvements, including implementing a new financial accounting system. Liaise with auditors, banks, and other external partners. Manage and develop a Finance Team, ensuring team alignment with organisational goals. The successful candidate will have: Ideally, a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA) although candidates who can demonstrate they are QBE are encouraged to apply. Proven expertise in financial and/or management accounting, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector. Experience in staff management, recruitment, and development. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences. A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
