About the Role The Head of Finance at Rogerstone Meal Solutions is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing financial operations of our Rogerstone site, contributing to the largest chilled ready meals production facility in Europe. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, providing key insights, and ensuring robust financial governance. Working closely with senior management, you will support operational goals, strategic planning, and decision-making across the business. About You The ideal candidate will have proven operational leadership experience in FMCG, especially in chilled goods manufacturing. You should excel in people management, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of delivering results in large-scale operations. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development:

Lead and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, operational excellence, and alignment with company values.

Strategic Financial Insight:

Provide actionable insights to address performance gaps, develop business models, and evaluate investments to guide strategic decision-making.

Operational Support:

Drive cost-reduction initiatives, oversee forecasting, and collaborate with senior teams to achieve financial objectives.

Financial Governance:

Ensure compliance with financial controls, maintain accurate reporting, and liaise with Group Finance and Internal Audit for robust governance.

Competency Requirements: Resilience:

Skills & Experience: Essential: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.

Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting within high-volume, labour-intensive manufacturing (preferably FMCG).

Proven experience in strategic financial planning, commercial analysis, and operational support.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable: Experience with lean finance principles and financial system/process improvements.

Experience in managing and developing finance teams.

Strong project management experience.

Ability to collaborate and influence across functions without direct control.

Confidence to challenge the status quo and drive change.

Working Hours Monday - Friday, core hours; flexibility is required due to 24/7 operational demands. Benefits Car Allowance.
