The Head of Financial Operations will take ownership of the Group’s day-to-day accounting processes, working with the Group Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager, and other senior Finance colleagues to deliver fast, accurate monthly and annual reporting in a best practice control environment. The Head of Financial Operations will lead the ongoing development of the Group’s accounting processes, restructuring teams and ways of working around the Group’s NetSuite system to optimise process efficiency, improve control effectiveness, and enhance business insight. In addition, the Head of Financial Operations will engage and motivate their team to improve their professional development and work experience. This role will also closely support the Group’s annual audit and tax compliance processes as well as ad-hoc projects, including the integration of newly acquired businesses. What you'll be doing Manage the Group’s monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting, partnering with FP&A and other teams for alignment. Identify and implement efficiencies in finance operations, streamlining workflows to improve accuracy and reporting timelines. Lead initiatives to enhance finance operations, including restructuring where needed to increase efficiency and resilience. Oversee the Group’s financial control processes, conduct balance sheet reviews, and ensure robust frameworks to mitigate risks. Coordinate annual compliance processes, serve as a primary contact for auditors, and ensure all regulatory standards are met. Drive improvements in the Group’s NetSuite ERP, collaborating with IT to enhance system functionality and align with business goals. Lead and develop a skilled finance team, developing a positive and collaborative culture focused on high performance and accountability. Your Experience Qualified accountant with significant PQE, including meaningful experience of end-to-end process transformation and change management. Strong expertise in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools. Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a sizeable finance function. Experience in setting objectives, managing priorities and developing team members with a variety of experience levels is also an essential requirement of this role. High attention to detail, comfortable working with large quantities of raw data. Ability to work autonomously, managing own workload to ensure deadlines are met. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working cross-functionally with senior leaders, auditors, and external advisors. A continuous improvement mindset, with experience leading process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives. Strong ethical standards with a commitment to maintaining high levels of integrity, transparency, and accountability in financial operations. Please note, this role does require regular travel to other Giacom office locations to manage the wider financial operations team. A full driving license is required to support this.
