Your new role As a key member of the finance team, you will lead a small team to strengthen the delivery of core financial controls, providing technical accounting advice and producing the statutory financial accounts. You will collaborate with the management accounting and business partnering teams to provide advice and support. Reporting to a talented Finance Director you'll have a key voice in financial decisions that can impact operational delivery. You will have a wide-ranging portfolio including balance sheet, finance operations and asset management. You'll refresh and update all accounting policies for this large and complex organisation. You will be the key point of contact at the year-end audit.

What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a qualified accountant with exceptional leadership and technical accounting skills. You must have knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and experience of their application. Ideally you will have awareness of the government financial reporting manual.

What you'll get in return In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a large pension contribution of 28.97% from the organisation.
