As the Head of Geography, you will be responsible for leading and developing the geography department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and inspire a team of Geography teachers, providing guidance and support for their professional development Develop and implement an engaging and challenging geography curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within the department, implementing improvements to enhance student outcomes Collaborate with other department heads and senior leadership to promote cross-curricular initiatives and interdisciplinary learning Maintain strong communication and partnerships with parents, students, staff, and external stakeholders to foster positive relationships Oversee the department budget, resources, and facilities to ensure effective and efficient operations Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in geography education to support continuous improvement A degree in Geography or a related field Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and preferably a postgraduate qualification in education or leadership Proven experience as a Geography teacher, with a track record of achieving excellent results Leadership experience, ideally in a Head of Department or similar role Deep knowledge and understanding of the geography curriculum and assessment requirements Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Commitment to professional development and staying updated with current trends in education Experience working in an impressive school setting, preferably with diverse student populations, is desirable Company Information Wayman Education is a trusted and reputable recruitment agency with extensive experience in the education sector.
