Main duties of the job

Some key responsibilities include: Supporting implementation of the National Patient Safety Strategy Incident identification, incident closure, quality control, incident themes and trends Oversight and co-ordination of patient safety alerts Working with the relevant business leads to liaise with the CQC to coordinate CQC inspections and visits and the development of CQC compliance tools Managing the external DPO and information governance provider Providing expert governance resource and support to both businesses Liaising across the businesses with the overall aim to use safety to improve our services About us

Job responsibilities

The Head of Governance and Quality role will specifically support our Prometheus (Birmingham) and Mountain Healthcare (Stevenage) businesses within the RCI Group providing a full Governance and Quality remit to each business whilst helping to drive the businesses forward. The Head of Quality and Governance provides leadership and strategic direction for the Quality and Governance in the organisation (SARC, Custody or any new services). This role ensures the implementation and coordination of functions related to patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and accreditation standards. The post holder works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring services are safe, effective, and aligned with best practices. Additionally, the role includes oversight of compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and accreditation standards, including UKAS ISO 15189 in the development and implementation of ISO 15189 and the FSR Code of Practice leading up to accreditation. A recognised industry qualification. Experience

Previous experience working at this level is required. The head offices are based at Stevenage and Birmingham and so travel will be required along with hybrid working. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
