Head of Grounds and Estates

to join our team and lead the strategic planning, maintenance, and management of our pitches, training grounds, and landscapes. Your Role & Responsibilities As Head of Grounds and Estates, you will report directly to the Football Operations Director and be responsible for the strategic planning, maintenance, and management of all our grounds and estates. Your initial remit will include: Pitch & Facility Management:

Overseeing the quality and maintenance of all training surfaces and matchday pitches, ensuring they meet regulatory, operational and performance requirements. Team Leadership:

Leading a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of work and inspiring a culture of excellence across the grounds department. Strategic Planning & Scheduling:

Developing and executing work programs, managing pitch availability and rotation, and ensuring all areas are prepared for matches, training, and events. Innovation & Sustainability:

Continuously exploring innovative, sustainable methods to enhance pitch quality and environmental practices, ensuring our grounds are at the forefront of the industry You will: Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our grounds and estates. Manage the annual budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet event requirements and ensure pitch and facility readiness. Provide expert advice on the development of grounds, focusing on sustainable practices, pitch preservation, and overall facility enhancement. About You You are a solution-driven professional who: Has extensive experience in grounds and estates management, particularly in sports or football environments. Demonstrates expertise in managing a variety of surfaces, including hybrid, synthetic, and natural pitches. Is skilled in leading teams and motivating staff to meet high standards. Has a proven ability to manage budgets, procurement processes, and project planning. Has a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, safe operating systems, and best practices within grounds management.
