We're looking for a dynamic leader to drive our HSE agenda across Operations and Retail, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability, based in Sittingbourne but will include travel to Somerset where our puddings are made. We share 5% of our annual profits with our staff. About the Role: Strategic Leadership: Deliver a compelling HSE vision and strategy that everyone buys into. Implement an HSE management system to meet all statutory requirements. Chair the COOK HSE steering meeting to track progress. Health and Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and monitoring processes. Provide guidance on legal compliance and stay updated with regulatory changes. Understand and mitigate risks in operations and retail processes. Develop and implement safety strategies to reduce injury and ill health risks. Advise on training requirements and manage relationships with authorities. Environmental Leadership: Champion sustainability within Operations and Retail. Work with leadership to reduce food and packaging waste. Drive improvements in energy and water usage. Team Development: Lead and develop the HSE team with clear accountabilities and growth plans. Identify and nurture future stars. Ensure ongoing training and development. Foster a culture of recognition and celebration. About You: Committed to learning and personal development. Aligned with COOK's values and leadership principles. NEBOSH Diploma/Degree or equivalent. Proven experience in a senior HSE role within manufacturing, preferably food. Membership of IOSH or relevant professional body. Environmental qualification (minimum EMA Certificate). Strong communicator with IT skills. Full UK driving licence. Ready to make a difference?
