Head of Hospital Operations Birmingham/ The Harborne Hospital Permanent Contract Salary: Competitive + bonus We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Hospital Operations to join our executive team at our new Harborne Hospital in Birmingham to provide senior leadership and strategic growth to enhance financial performance. The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-specialty private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. About the role: Manage, inspire, and motivate the team to ensure that operational excellence, high employee engagement and service improvement is achieved

Develop and maintain effective communication between all hospital based, NHS and corporate stakeholders

Responsible for the overall operations of the business functions to ensure maximum utilisation of resources, efficient delivery of service and a high level of consultant satisfaction

Meet and exceed business objectives ensuring consistent achievement of all financial and operational KPIs

Collaborate with HCA Finance team to ensure practice and physician compensation financial audits and reconciliations are carried out in a timely fashion

Direct and manage projects for practice portfolio, including patient flow, consultant satisfaction, patient satisfaction, practice volume, billing and collections, service utilisation, coding, physician, and staff training

What you'll bring: Prior management experience within a healthcare environment

Effective working knowledge of healthcare financial management, specifically medical practice accounting, third party reimbursement, patient flow and facilities management

Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process

Knowledge of fiscal management and leadership management techniques.
