Park Avenue has partnered with a Local Authority on the lookout for a
Head of Housing Operations !
You'll lead a team of 50 staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality housing management services for approximately 8,000 council tenants and 750 leaseholders. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for residents on the Council's housing estates and managing the temporary accommodation portfolio to maximise income and support homelessness prevention efforts.
Service areas include: Estate and Tenancy Management Sheltered Housing Temporary Accommodation Leasehold and Income Collection You'll drive service improvements, manage budgets to ensure best value, and lead projects to deliver within timelines. You'll also work closely with other council departments, statutory agencies, and service users to strategically plan and deliver services that meet the evolving needs of the community.
This Council is accustomed to using interim support in their Senior Leadership Teams, so you'll be given ownership of the Service while you're with them. The SLT is small, and you'll find plenty of communication with different departments (including Finance!).
