Head of HR, Accrington, Lancashire 60-70K Permanent, Office based HR Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced HR professional for our client in the care sector. (Care experience is NOT essential). Reporting directly into the CEO, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding organisation. A key member of the senior management team you will support your peers by delivering on the annual People Plan and coaching those you need to support. Responsible for the daily leadership and management of the HR team. Role Responsibilities Development and delivery of annual People Plan to ensure the organisation meets its goals and aspirations. Advising and coaching managers on all ER related issues to ensure all company procedures, statutory and legislative requirements are met. Develop, implement and evaluate a variety of recruitment and retention initiatives to ensure low employee turnover and development and progression of our employees. Oversee the effectiveness of the website/social media in attracting new talent, making improvement as required. Work with Learning and Development manager to build management and leadership capability and develop career pathways for employees across all divisions. Drive high levels of employee engagement and model the culture of trust and openness, challenging where appropriate. Ensure an engaging and effective on-boarding process is in place to drive high levels of performance and reduced levels of turnover. Management of the HRIS to ensure all information is accurate and up to date and new starters and leavers are processed quickly and accurately. Develop and administer company benefits, regularly benchmarking pay rates with competitors. Lead any restructures, TUPE transfers etc. Ensure employee performance and development (appraisals) reviews are undertaken to a high standard, and work in collaboration with the Training Manager and RMs to develop succession plans for employees with potential to progress. Person Specification At least 4 years generalist HR experience. Hands-on with a can do attitude. Resilient with the ability to persuade and influence senior stakeholders. Excellent communication skills. Flexible approach. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team and make a real difference in this expanding organisation. The working hours are 40 per week. The salary is between £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience).
