Our client is seeking a Head of IT, working as part of a small team, to manage the integration of the Orderwise ERP system within the business, ensuring availability and consistency of services to the users.

Key Responsibilities

To set strategies for the IT Department. To oversee deliverables of IT into the business. Provide emergency/holiday cover for other personnel in the department (as required). To liaise with other departments in providing IT support as may reasonably be required. Other duties as may reasonably be required, consistent with the person's level of skill and ability. Liaise with external software suppliers on development projects.

Key Attributes

Mature-minded IT experienced person capable of independent purpose but with a team player attitude. Commercially minded and experience in running IT Budgets. Openly communicative and helpful. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate 4+ years of practical experience in a comparable function or role. Must have a thorough understanding of SQL and SQL Server, including maintenance, performance tuning, script, and scheduling experience. Knowledge of digital dashboard would be useful but not essential. Knowledge of SharePoint servers would be useful but not essential. Degree level in either computing, electronics, or software preferred.

Software Skills Required

Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Microsoft Office versions including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project (inc O365). Orderwise desirable but not essential. SQL Server 2022. Power BI.

Programming Language

A good understanding of T-SQL. PRINCE Project management.
