Job Description The Head of Leadership will be a member of the Talent LT and the Halfords Leadership Group.

They will contribute to building the overall Talent Strategy and will deputise for the Talent Director.

Build, socialise and maintain the Leadership Development strategy informed by an understanding of the current state of learning and development and relevant world-class best practices. Define what great leadership means for Halfords, based on internal insights and deep understanding of leadership best practice a. Create Halfords Leadership model and framework, including leadership competency framework. b. Design and deliver extraordinary, engaging learning experiences to build leadership capability within the Halfords Group from front line to senior manager (some internal design and some with selected external support). c. Integrate the Leadership Model and Leadership Expectations into other Talent processes (Performance review, talent processes, career development, etc.). Lead and develop the Leadership Development Team of 3 As a member of the Halfords Senior Leadership Team, they will contribute to business strategy and cascade key initiatives within their function As a member of the Talent Leadership team, they will support in building the overall talent strategy and deputise for the Talent Director Develop and implement supporting strategies a. Coaching and mentoring strategy b. Leadership development assessment strategy Develop internal capability to identify, assess and develop leadership potential Manage the leadership training budget of circa £1m per year Implement and manage Career Development plans for HiPo's, leveraging experiences as developmental opportunities Build and deliver HiPo development programmes Work with Apprenticeships manager to identify relevant apprenticeships to support management and leadership development Design and develop team effectiveness programmes Develop and lead stakeholder management, communication and change plans associated with designated initiatives and programs. Work with respective HRBPs, Corp Communications and/or change management partners on engagement strategies to ensure timely and effective communication and adoption/completion of learning requirements Define metrics for successful evaluation of programmes around fulfilment of colleague/leader needs and relevant business and cultural drivers. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate should have: Experience: Bachelor's degree, relevant HR qualifications 5+ years of related experience in: Leadership development including designing and delivering leadership programs, leadership assessments, individual development planning, and strategic succession management Consulting and coaching with executives Large scale organisational change and transformation Team formation, chartering, facilitation, and deliverables development Proven track record of progressive career development Delivering solutions within environments undergoing significant change. Knowledge, Skills: Subject matter expertise in Leadership Development Knowledge of needs assessment, design, delivery, cost-benefit analyses, career development, coaching, and mentoring Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills Certifications in various relevant programs and assessment instruments Demonstrated Project Management skills Experience with large, company-wide implementation Excellent facilitation of small, medium, and large audiences Ability to work with the senior leadership teams to develop solutions for business needs Strong collaboration skills/Co-creation What's on Offer A competitive six-figure salary plus a market-leading package.
