An opportunity has arisen for an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to step into a leadership role as Head of Legal. The company operates across multiple jurisdictions, providing a dynamic environment for you to showcase your expertise and make a real impact on the development of the legal function and wider business.
What you'll do:
Oversee the management of the legal function and contribute to the company's strategic goals.
Lead on high-profile legal matters and oversee corporate governance.
Mentor team members and provide legal support across commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
Assist with team management and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Develop and implement policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
Manage relationships with external legal advisors where necessary.
What you bring:
Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
Significant post-qualification experience (ideally 8+ years PQE).
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and manage a legal team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex legal issues with ease.
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industries (desirable but not essential).
