We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Legal to lead our legal and Data Protection functions. This senior role offers the opportunity to work in an extremely varied and continuously changing environment, and support operations across multiple sites/entities.
Head of Legal - Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on legal areas including Health & Safety, Commercial, Environmental, and Company Law. Ensure compliance with HSE, competition law, and statutory obligations. Manage external counsel and control legal costs. Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including those for capital projects. Serve as Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer, ensuring governance and regulatory compliance. Develop legal awareness through training and direct support. Liaise with regulators and manage claims and disputes.
Head of Legal - Candidate Profile: 5-10 years' post-qualification experience in England & Wales. Strong negotiating, influencing, and leadership skills. Experience in safety-critical environments. A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and driving change. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
