A highly regarded law firm in Merseyside is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Litigation to lead their commercial and civil litigation department in Southport. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the litigation department, managing a diverse caseload including property litigation, commercial disputes, estate disputes (contentious probate), and general civil litigation.
Lead and mentor a team of litigators, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality legal services.
Handle complex cases from inception to resolution, including court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the department and enhance service delivery.
Foster strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and legal expertise.
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have c. 5 years PQE in litigation, with extensive experience in commercial and civil litigation.
Proven track record in managing a litigation team or department.
Expertise in handling a full range of litigation matters, including property, commercial disputes, and contentious probate.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stakes cases effectively.
