Loom Talent are delighted to have been retained by well-known in-house FMCG business on a Head of Logistics opportunity. With a well-established European presence, they are a household name within their sector, with over 11,000 employees across the UK. Due to a positive restructure in strategically separating the company's Supply Chain division, this person will lead all UK Logistics activity, whilst working in partnership with the Head of Supply Chain and Senior European peers. The Role

The Head of Logistics will be required in the Enfield, London area for c. 3 days per week, whilst taking ownership of designing the UK Logistics strategy leading all activity across UK Operations across Warehousing & in-house Transport operations. This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding and industry-leading organisation which will include directing an already impressive UK distribution network, new site expansion and the integration of automation & robotics. Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all UK business operational activities, including +1m sq. ft. of in-house and 3PL Warehousing, Outsourced Transportation and the ongoing delivery of the operational growth strategy, continuous improvement initiatives and projects. Reporting Structure:

Report to the European COO. Team Management:

Lead and develop a high-performing, collective UK operational team (550+ employees) through Head of & Manager level direct reports. Business Growth:

An awareness of the potential challenges new site start up launches can have on collective culture is important to this client. Client Relationships:

Maintain and develop an already impressive customer base. Budget Responsibility:

Develop and manage the operational budget in excess of £40m, ensuring financial objectives are achieved while maintaining service & quality. Performance Metrics:

Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation. Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice. Process Optimisation:

Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Innovation:

Drive innovation, Automation & Robotics along with the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Stakeholder Management:

Align objectives, seek resolutions and drive success with UK & International peers. Location:

Hybrid working available, with 3 x days per week required in Enfield, London. The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Head of Logistics opportunity will have the following skills and experiences; A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background -

Essential. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, MBA or advanced degree -

Advantageous. The successful candidate must have operated at either a Head of or Director level for a minimum of 5+ years -

Essential. Previous budgetary responsibility across multi-site in-house and 3PL operations in excess of £40m -

Essential. Exposure to Semi-Automation & Robotics - AMR's, AGV's -

Highly Advantageous. To have a strong working knowledge of managing outsourced Transport operations via 3PL's and Parcel carriers -

Essential. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams -

Essential. Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics market. An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges. Commutable UK wide, with a focus on the Enfield / North London area. The Salary & Package
