Head of Manufacturing / Manufacturing Manager / Operations Manager required to join a leading global mechanical engineering manufacturer.
The Head of Manufacturing / Manufacturing Manager / Operations Manager will lead a team of 30+ people and be responsible for manufacturing, warehousing, production, logistics, and maintenance operations, reporting directly to the Group Operations Director.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large teams to achieve operational excellence, ideally within a multi-site mechanical manufacturing environment.

Role Responsibilities
Lead a team of 30+ people and be responsible for manufacturing, warehousing, production, logistics, and maintenance operations. Ensure that all onsite manufacturing and warehousing operations perform effectively and harness continual growth. Drive strategic growth by leading manufacturing expansion projects and implementing best practices. Collaborate as part of the senior operations management team. Deliver all daily, weekly, monthly, and annually manufacturing SPQDC KPI’s. Liaise with various Engineering departments.
Requirements
Proven track record of successfully managing large teams to achieve operational excellence, ideally within a multi-site mechanical manufacturing environment. Experience as a head of manufacturing, manufacturing manager, operations manager, head of operations, operations lead, manufacturing director, or similar preferably within a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment. Ability to showcase clear examples of managing multi-site warehousing & supply chains within an engineering environment. Highly experienced at specifying and deploying Warehouse Management Systems. Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a large team. A technical engineering qualification – ONC, HNC, HND or Degree in mechanical engineering or similar is advantageous, though not a must. Willing to commute to the office near Leeds.
