The team at The Hub School are looking to appoint a Head of Maths who will play a pivotal role in leading the Maths department, ensuring equality of opportunity for all. The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to deliver an ambitious and inclusive Maths curriculum and the ability to implement this through high quality adaptive teaching.
Starting in 2025, the role is up to Full Time and will be paid on TEAL’s qualified teachers pay scale, points 1 to 9 (£31,650 - £49,084). The successful candidate will also receive a TLR2a Allowance (£3,391 FTE per annum) and an SEN Allowance (£2,679 FTE per annum).

Have centralised our Behaviour Policy so teachers are freed up from supervising detentions. Demand ethical leadership built on professional trust. Reject fads and ensure our CPD is evidence-informed and predominantly subject specific. Have reduced data collections to twice yearly. Do not expect staff to respond to emails outside normal working hours. Do not deploy staff at other Trust schools unless it is at their request. What are we looking for?

Required qualifications include: Qualified Teacher Status and up to date knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and learning, monitoring/assessment, and evaluation principles and practices. High levels of knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum and Ofsted framework as well as demonstrable experience of inclusive curriculum design.
