HEAD OF MATHS Required: September 2025 Contract type: Full time Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR 1b (£12,041) Contract term: Permanent Suitable for ECTs: Yes Hinchingbrooke School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Head of Maths. Hinchingbrooke School is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted November 2021) and in 2024 secured ‘Above Average’ GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +0.24. This post has become available due to an internal promotion, and we want to appoint someone who will continue the excellent work that is happening in Maths (last year our Maths GCSE results resulted in a Progress 8 score of + 0.3 and A Level ALPS 3). We are looking for a highly committed team player, with a passion for Mathematics and an understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire all students. The successful candidate will join a collaborative department who have a wide range of expertise and skills. From the moment you join us you will feel welcomed and supported by a team ranging from ECTs through to highly experienced practitioners. The person we are looking for will lead the Maths team to secure excellent outcomes at all key stages and to move forward and build on the successes of the excellent recent KS4 & 5 exam results. We welcome applications from candidates who are student-focused and passionate about sharing their own love of Mathematics with our diverse and inclusive student body.
