Role Responsibilities:

Lead and Develop the Maths Curriculum:

Oversee the planning and delivery of a high-quality Maths curriculum that engages and challenges students, helping them progress academically and develop a passion for the subject.

Supportive Learning Environment:

Work closely with staff to create a structured, safe, and encouraging classroom setting that caters to each student's individual needs and abilities.

Collaborate and Strategize:

Liaise with teaching and support staff, parents, and external agencies to create comprehensive learning plans and behavior strategies, fostering student success and well-being.

Inspire and Mentor:

Serve as a role model and mentor, fostering a positive attitude toward learning among students and encouraging a collaborative, supportive culture among staff.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Regularly assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies and curriculum plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement and address any barriers to learning.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

with a strong background in teaching Mathematics, ideally with prior experience in a leadership or management role within a Maths department.

Specialist Education Experience:

Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, would be advantageous.

Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate both students and staff, with a commitment to high educational standards and ongoing professional development.

Communication and Collaboration:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside multidisciplinary teams to support each pupil's academic and emotional development.
