To be successful, you will be: An outstanding, research-informed practitioner with a proven record of raising attainment for students. A confident and competent user of data, able to empower others in its use to support outstanding pedagogy. Able to inspire and challenge every student, enabling them to make excellent progress. Able to communicate and enthuse staff and implement ideas. We are a mixed 11–18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 835 students. Uplands Academy converted to an Academy in September 2022 and became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formerly Beacon Community College Academy Trust). The acronym MARK was selected because staff who work in the Trust are motivated, ambitious, resourceful, and knowledgeable. This partnership will provide many exciting opportunities for professional development and the sharing of good practice across the two schools.
