Wayman Group is delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Music at an exceptional school in Harrow. This position is set to start in September, providing you with the chance to lead the music department in delivering an outstanding music education to students. As the Head of Music, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing the music curriculum, while creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that nurtures students' passion for music. Working closely with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, you will lead the music department towards achieving exceptional results and providing invaluable music education experiences. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the music department, providing guidance and support to a team of music teachers Develop and implement an exceptional music curriculum aligned with national standards Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic music lessons to students of different ages and abilities Identify and nurture musical talent among students, providing opportunities for performances and competitions Organize and coordinate various music events, including concerts, recitals, and workshops Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular activities and promote interdisciplinary learning Stay informed about the latest developments and advancements in music education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies Minimum Requirements

A degree in Music Education or a related field Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Proven experience as a music teacher, with a track record of delivering exceptional music education Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Thorough knowledge of music theory, history, and practical skills Ability to plan and deliver engaging and innovative music lessons Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and educational requirements, including national curriculum guidelines for music education A passion for music and a commitment to providing exceptional music education Application
