Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that the training, education and supervision requirements of members of the department and students on placement is appropriately planned, managed and provided for within the available resources. The post holder serves as the line manager for staff within the neuropsychology department. Responsible for ensuring the department is financially viable and sustainable through effective budget management, in partnership with the General Manager (who holds budgetary responsibility), and cost efficiency plans. Responsible for ensuring that the neuropsychological service needs are adequately addressed by liaising with colleagues, contributing to planning and service developments in other areas beyond the immediate department, and by ensuring that long-term regional NHS plans for reconfiguration adequately take neuropsychological services into account. The post holder must provide a point of focus for management, colleagues, other Trusts or external agencies for matters pertaining to Neuropsychology within North Bristol NHS Trust.
