At Rotherham Council, we are looking for a Head of OD & Change who can shape the future of our workforce and help us become a high-performing organisation where our leaders and managers embody our values and behaviours.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the Council's OD and Change team within the Assistant Chief Executive's directorate. You will play a critical role in supporting an ambitious and wide-ranging change programme, working collaboratively with service leads and providing assurance to the Strategic Leadership Team.

As Head of OD & Change, you'll be responsible for:

Leading organisational development, change management, employee engagement, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), and learning and development strategies. Driving continuous improvement by ensuring managers and employees are engaged, developed, and supported. Overseeing Health and Social Care workforce transformation to meet future needs. Collaborating with senior leaders and partners to ensure buy-in and build robust relationships. Inspiring confidence, creativity, and momentum in delivering innovative OD solutions.

You'll thrive in this role if you are: Technically strong, confident, and experienced in working in complex and challenging environments. Possessing a measured and positive approach to build trust at all levels of the organisation. Capable of delivering against our priorities.

We're looking for someone who: Has a strong background in organisational development and change management. Is experienced in working within diverse, complex environments, ideally with private sector experience. Brings creativity, a can-do attitude, and the ability to inspire confidence and engagement. Understands the importance of collaboration and has a track record of building strong partnerships. Can deliver innovative solutions that help embed a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
